Nickel and Dime Crapola

Tell me something.... How often do you see shows charging just a straight fee?  More and more cities/promoters are finding ways to make extra money.  I'm not really talking about shows like $100 plus 10 percent, etc. because that is good way to pay for a show. It's these little things that they add on.  I guess a number of shows now require you have police peddler's permit.  That's where you have to provide them with your SSN, Driver's License and Car License number along with other information.  They charge you a fee of $25 and up for this.  I can't really see the significance of these other then giving the police the opportunity to run checks on people as they try to find offenders, etc.  I personally do not take likely to handing over $25+ plus to them so that they can check to see if there are any outstanding warrants, etc. against me.  City Business License.  I probably have no objection to this, if it's a reasonable amount.  $50 is excessive
