Friday, May 29. Left home around 3:40pm and headed out to Concord to set up. Lot's of traffic on 238 and then on 680. Bumper to bumper; what a mess. Didn't get there until 5:45pm.
We are going to forgo this review. We will just say that it was not a good event for the vendors'
Around 5:30, I received a call from my son telling me that my wife had collapsed and was laying on the floor with the paramedics there. Apparently, her blood sugar level had dropped to 40 and she was almost unconscious. They gave her sugar and she was okay as the ambulance was departing enroute to the hospital. She is doing fine now. What happened is that she was feeling ill late last week and ate hardly anything. She took her regular medications, one of which was glipizide and that caused her sugar levels to approach dangerous level.
I would like to express a thank you to all the people at kidfest who helped me bring in my van and load up. I was out of there very quickly and got to the hospital around 7:10pm.
